The most amazing month of my life in Italy

Going to Milan and studying at Universita Cattolica was the best experience of my life. I had the most amazing month and loved every second of it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone studying who wants to make the most out of their university experience. I met some really amazing people in the process who were studying, made a best friend and also met some really cool people in Milan too.

I thoroughly enjoyed the studying experience and had an amazing lecturer for the duration of my short course which allowed me to take a lot of knowledge from the course. Aside from studying, life in Milan was amazing. The nightlife was buzzing, the food was incredible, shopping and dressing up everyday was also a great part of the experience too. I would recommend saving a decent amount of money in order to make the most of this experience as Milan is an expensive city and is more fun with a bit more freedom. I would also recommend staying for a whole month and possibly exploring a bit more of Europe. I returned after 3 weeks and already miss it so much. I would also recommend having a very appreciative attitude towards the whole experience, an open mind and a willingness to try everything. I am so glad I went into this experience with this mindset because I was so grateful everyday and returned home knowing I really made the most of the experience. If you don’t have a particular interest in Milan – its shopping, dressing up, going out culture and eating, it may not be the place for you.

From this experience I have gained new perspectives and feel highly motivated to achieve more in my life. It has shown me that possibilities are endless and I feel proud of myself for taking a leap and immersing myself in this opportunity offered by UTS. I felt so free waking up everyday and deciding to do whatever I wanted. I loved living on my own for the first time, I loved making my own decisions, living in a European city and embracing the culture of Milan.
