PACE University
New York City. Young, vibrant and everything you could ask for. It’s a city that needs no introduction. Pace University, however, is a different story. It’s a small university located in downtown NYC right the Brooklyn Bridge. PACE has two classroom buildings and a couple of dorm buildings, all located within a two-minute walk of one another (minus one of the dorms which is Brooklyn Heights). The city itself makes up for not having a tradition college campus, for days when its great weather you can catch a subway to Central Park and spend the day there, instead of your campus courtyard.
Exchange has been everything I could ask for, I’ve met an amazing group of people, I’ve had the opportunity to experience new cultures and I’ve lived in one of the greatest cities in the world. You could be walking down the same block of streets for weeks and one day suddenly find something new and exciting. It’s a city of opportunity, and as a student here, it feels like it’s all at your fingertips. I’ve also done a bit of travelling out of state, to Boston on a few occasions and recently for Spring Break I road tripped down to Florida with a bunch of friends. Seven people in one car for around twenty-four hours wasn’t the most comfortable experience in the world, but it was well worth it once we reached Florida.
The sad part is that it is almost over, and I feel like I have barely scratched the surface of New York. I wish I had another semester here, but I can’t really complain. I really think that everyone should go on exchange and experience everything it has to offer.
