Food, food and…food in Taiwan
You know how your grandmother always made sure that you’ve eaten? Well, if you’re in Taiwan, she can be at rest; this place is probably the only place in the world where the possibility of starving is zero. From food as cheap as $2 AUD a meal to a more expensive one, breakfast stores to night markets, you will find something to fill your stomach content everywhere.
Speaking of night markets, Taiwan is renowned for these. Night markets are well..markets that open at night daily, and if you’ve ever walked into chinatown on a Friday night, you would know what I mean, except night markets in Taiwan are 1000000x better. These markets are filled with all sorts of different foods and stores and the trick is to eat as little from each store as possible so you are able to try everything (note: bringing a friend or 2 is recommended). And yes, food. is. cheap.!!
Some examples of the foods you’ll find in night markets are:
BBQ Grilled Sausages
And of course, pearl milk tea/bubble tea, whatever you want to call it.
Besides visiting the night markets in Taiwan, one obviously has to head to the icon of Taipei, Taipei 101. (Amazing view up there!!!)
Taipei 101 also holds the record of having the fastest elevator in the world
I can go on and on about Taiwan, but yes i am having the best time of my life here submerging myself in the culture in every possible way, I’m starting to regret not taking up 2 semesters of exchange because I realised 1 is just not long enough.
But in short, I love Taiwan!!

Can you see which one is me?
…taking the photo of course hahaha.
